"Partner" sounds like I'm in a lesbian relationship! :D Haha - just to inform all those with less knowledge about Swedish boys' names, Sture is indeed a man :) I also struggle to find an appropriate word for this kind of arrangement, but you would generally call him my domestic partner. Which sounds just terrible, but what can you do :) The Swedish have a good word for it, he's my "sambo"! Pia
Wow, I was also struggling. I was thinking significant other but that's kind of creepy too. Maybe next time I try something poetic like he's the straw to your berry...
I must say I studied this though. I tried to describe a few friends this thing of yours and asked what word they'd use.
Domestic partner beats all the good suggestions and the previous strong yes to partner so I might edit the text or leave it like this so this process is also documented.
